Department of Samhita & Siddhanta
Department of Samhita Sanskrit Evum Siddhanta deals with the core subject of Ayurveda which conduct Sanskrit, Padartha Vigyan evum Ayurved Itihas, Maulik Siddhanta evum Astanga Hridaya Sutrasthana in First professional BAMS course, Charak Samhita(purvardha) in Second professional BAMS course, Charak Samhita (uttardha) in third professional BAMS course, along with Research Methodology and Medical Statistics in fourth professional BAMS course. Through these Ayurvedic compendia teaching this department creates interest of the BAMS student in ancient Ayurvedic literature and concept. Ayurvedic Samhitas are the treasure house for the extension of Ayurveda. This department have one museum and one library. Presently the department is involved with the undergraduate teaching of first professional BAMS and also conducting two days OPD per week under Swastharakshan.
